“Martin came to review our request and in the same week was able to complete the work. He was very clear with what he would be able to do and removed two bushes and a tree from our garden and disposed of the waste. Very happy with the end result and service.”

Frequently asked questions

Do I need permission to have a tree cut down in Essex?

Sometimes. If the tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or sits in a conservation area you need written consent from the council before any work starts. We check this for you before quoting and, if consent is needed, we handle the application. Never let anyone cut a protected tree without it — the fines are substantial.

How much does tree removal cost?

A small garden tree typically runs £200–£450. A large or awkward tree near a house or power lines, needing sectional dismantling, is usually £800–£2,000+. Price depends on size, access and where the waste goes. Quotes are free and fixed — we do not price on the day.

How much does a new driveway or patio cost?

Landscaping in Essex starts around £500 for basic garden work and runs to £15,000+ for a full transformation. A typical block-paved driveway is £3,000–£8,000 and a sandstone patio £2,000–£5,000, depending on size, groundwork and materials. Every quote is free and itemised.

Are you insured and qualified?

Yes. We carry £5 million public liability insurance and our tree surgeons hold NPTC Certificates of Competence in chainsaw and related operations. We are vetted members of Checkatrade, TrustATrader and MyBuilder.

Which areas of Essex do you cover?

We are based in Romford and cover Romford, Hornchurch, Brentwood, Dagenham, Barking, Upminster, Chelmsford, Chadwell Heath, Rainham, Hainault, Ilford and Basildon, plus surrounding parts of Essex and East London. If you are not sure whether we reach you, just call — we usually do.

Do you offer emergency tree work?

Yes, we run a 24/7 emergency call-out for storm damage and dangerous trees. If a tree or large limb has come down and is unsafe, call 07939 492 893 and we will get to you as quickly as we can.

What is the best time of year for landscaping work?

Hard landscaping — driveways, patios, fencing, brickwork — can be done all year round. Turfing and planting do best in spring and autumn. Tree work is best outside the main bird-nesting season of March to August, though safety work can be done at any time.

Do you clear away all the waste?

Yes. Every quote includes removal and correct disposal of all waste, and we leave the site swept and tidy. We are a registered waste carrier — never use anyone who is not.

How long does a typical job take?

A patio or driveway is usually 3–7 days depending on size. Most tree work is done in a day. A full garden transformation is typically 2–4 weeks. We give you a realistic timescale with the quote and tell you straight if weather is likely to move it.
